Rafael Nadal y Richard Gasquet han compartido toda una vida ligada al tenis. Ambos fueron ya rivales íntimos en etapas juveniles y siguieron viéndose las caras en muchas ocasiones durante su etapa profesional, con triunfo siempre para el español. Con motivo de la retirada definitiva del galo, Rafa mandó un mensaje en redes sociales felicitando a Gasquet por su carrera.
