Linda Noskova continues to confirm that Wimbledon is one of the tournaments where she performs best. The Czech tennis player qualified for the fourth round for the second consecutive year after defeating Sorana Cirstea in a very demanding match, resolved after a great comeback and much mental strength. Her next challenge will be against Madison Keys, whom she has never faced on the circuit.

Noskova acknowledged that she expected a very tough encounter, especially because they both know each other very well after having crossed paths several times in recent months. "I knew it was going to be a battle, our matches are never easy. It's one of those encounters where you feel a huge relief when you manage to pull it off," she explained in a press conference after her victory by 2-6, 6-3, and 7-6.

The Czech highlighted that the key was not to give up after losing the first set. "I simply refused to lose the match. I kept telling myself that it's never over until the last point," she said. She also acknowledged that she was able to change her mindset in time: "With Sorana, you always have to play at 100%. I lost a bit of focus at the beginning, but I am very happy to have known how to start over. If I had continued the same way, the match would have ended differently."

The difficulty increases in the next round

In the fourth round, she will face Madison Keys, a rival she respects greatly even though they have never competed against each other. Noskova believes it will be a very different match from the one against Cirstea, although she expects another highly demanding game. "We have similar playing styles, she hits very hard, has a great serve, and it will be a tough match. We have never played, so I don't know exactly what to expect," she commented.

At 21 years old, Noskova continues to grow on the circuit without obsessing over the world rankings. "I have never had ranking goals; I try not to think about the points or the position I hold," stated a player who once again finds herself among the best 16 at Wimbledon and who continues to show that the grass of London brings out her best performance.
