Being one of the best tennis players in the world is not incompatible with not knowing the feeling of lifting an ATP title. This is evident from the significant quantity and quality of players whose track record is empty, yet this has not hindered them from having a career full of successes and holding a very prominent ATP ranking. Let's review who they are.

It is well known by all how difficult it is to win a title nowadays. The proliferation of two-week Masters 1000 events, court standardization, and the exceptional average level of the circuit have made opportunities to win tournaments increasingly scarce. But Davidovich is not the only top player without titles to his name. There are seven other players in the current top 50 who have not yet become champions in an ATP tournament. One of the most intriguing cases may be that of Arthur Rinderknech, who came close to achieving it in Shanghai this season. At 30 years old, the Frenchman is in the peak of his career and will strive for that coveted prize, joining players like Corentin Moutet, Alex Michelsen, Zizou Bergs, Daniel Altmaier, or Camilo Ugo Carabelli in that quest.

A special mention goes to Jaume Munar, whose qualitative leap in 2025 makes him a strong contender to end his title drought in the upcoming season. The Balearic player has only reached one final in his career, the distant one in the Marbella 2021 tournament, where he defeated Alcaraz in the semifinals but succumbed to Carreño in the decisive title clash.

Expanding the analysis to the entire top 100, we find that a total of 37 players currently listed in that select group do not know what it is like to win a title. This clearly illustrates the extreme difficulty of becoming a champion nowadays and the immense ambition these players will have to claim their first ATP title in the upcoming season. 2026 could be a prolific year for new champions.
