Alcaraz confirms his absence in the 2025 Davis Cup and already has a replacement

Carlos Alcaraz needs to take a break and, in a cautious and logical move on his part, he resigns from playing in the 2025 Davis Cup tie this coming weekend against Denmark in Marbella. Changing surfaces at this time, after the effort made in New York, would be irresponsible, and the player from Murcia will support his compatriots in securing a spot in the Bologna Finals, where he is expected to participate. Jaume Munar steps in to replace him on the team.

Carlos Alcaraz confirms on Cadena SER that he will not play the Davis Cup and will take several days to rest after the wear and tear.

So Alcaraz will not be there, Granollers was going to have foot tests in Barcelona… There will be some more absences. For now, Jaume Munar joins.
