Brooksby, from the invitation in the preliminary phase to winning the tournament!

A brutal comeback to tennis for Jenson Brooksby. The American was in the midst of rebuilding his ranking at ATP Houston 2025 by participating as a wildcard in the tournament's qualifying rounds. The current world number 507 not only advanced through the qualifiers but also ended up winning the Texan tournament. Brooksby was penalized for being unlocatable during three anti-doping tests and had been off the circuit since January 2023. Since the 2025 Australian Open, he has progressively improved and clinched his first career title against compatriot Frances Tiafoe (6-4 6-2).
