Alcaraz reveals his big goal for 2025: "It's the only one missing for me.."

Carlos Alcaraz is already gearing up for a 2025 year in which he will be in the spotlight once again. The definitive emergence of Jannik Sinner has set the stage for the Murcian to face a historic challenge: surpassing and dominating his already great generational rival. Despite starting far from number one, motivation is sky-high for the Murcian, who aims to continue adding medals and collecting major titles to etch his name in golden letters in the tennis Olympus.

"I try to make people enjoy watching tennis. I try to give my best, I like playing beautiful and spectacular points. When I face Ben (Shelton), it's even easier because the vibes and his style of play make it much easier. As I've said, I hope the audience enjoys matches like these: that's what I strive for every time I step onto the court", Alcaraz said with a smile.

THE BIG GOAL FOR 2025

With less than a month to go before the next season begins, there are plenty of incentives for Carlos, who, however, is aiming high and knows perfectly what excites him the most: achieving his first 2025 Australian Open. "The only Grand Slam I haven't won is the Australian Open, so I'm going for it (smiles). Hopefully, I'll achieve it in 2025. It's a huge and very important goal for me, although getting close to a Grand Slam is always challenging, as there are many great players who work hard and prepare to win it. For my part, I have to set big goals, so I hope to achieve it in 2025." Complete self-confidence and ambition that remind us of the greatest players: that's how the upcoming season looks for Alcaraz, who will not play any tournaments before the first Grand Slam of the season.
