Cameron Norrie faces Wimbledon with a much lower profile than in previous seasons, although convinced that he can once again be a protagonist on the grass of the All England Club. The British player, a semifinalist in 2022 and a quarterfinalist last year, stated during the Media Day that he feels prepared to compete despite a modest previous tour.

"I enter this tournament being somewhat under the radar, I like that, but above all I feel good, I am hitting the ball well and physically I am healthy," explained the British number two, who acknowledges that he would have liked to achieve a better result at Queen's. "I always feel that I arrive at Wimbledon with the need to tighten up and get back to the level I was at," he added.

Norrie's season has been marked by inconsistency, alternating good performances with early eliminations and failing to string together results that would return him to the elite of the circuit. However, Wimbledon has always been a special stage for him. In 2022, he reached the semifinals, where he fell to Novak Djokovic, and in 2025, he once again delivered a strong performance by reaching the quarterfinals, only halted by Carlos Alcaraz.

Cameron Norrie, one of the great local hopes at Wimbledon

That experience boosts his confidence for an edition where he will once again have the support of the British audience. "It's always nice to arrive as the underdog, no matter which match you play. This is a very special tournament, and I always feel good when Wimbledon arrives," he noted. Far from setting specific goals, Norrie prefers to focus on the sensations. "I believe my best tennis is yet to come, so I'm going to try to make the most of the crowd's support whenever I can." An optimistic message with which he hopes to once again turn the London grass into the stage of his resurgence.
