Carlos Alcaraz continues to be an absolute steamroller, the undisputed king of the ATP circuit. 12-0 and two titles as a result in 2026 have brought out his most cheerful, mature, and ambitious side. The title in Doha is nothing but the confirmation of fantastic overall work, showing that there has been no hint of relaxation in his preparation and tennis since the title in Australia, confirming his absolute dominance while Jannik Sinner suffered another defeat.

But beyond the titles, victories, and achievements, there is one word that defines the current state of the player from Murcia: happiness. Perhaps it is a stage of fulfillment, in that difficult balance between personal and professional life, of the genius from El Palmar: every press conference is faced with a smile, and if the victory is on his side, there is room to let his emotions flow. That's what he did after defeating Fils, offering very interesting reflections on how he enjoys every match and tournament, on how he has found a way to step onto the court with a smile, appreciating and savoring the fruits of his labor.

This is why Alcaraz is so dominant nowadays: defining his current state of tennis and mood

- Incredible week in Doha ending with the title win

"I feel great. You feel that the work, now, has ended, which is fantastic. Great week, both on and off the court. Seeing how I have met all the objectives I set at the beginning of the week makes me very proud, both of myself and my team. First time lifting the title in Doha, incredible."

- On Fils' comments, expressing there is a significant gap between his level and Carlos' level

"Today I played great. I was focused on maintaining that throughout the match, on playing very well from the start; finals are where you have to show your best level. Obviously, Arthur didn't start the match that well, making many mistakes. That gave me the confidence to play relaxed and calm. He let me control the match, control every point, always in a good position. I played very solid, aggressive whenever I could, hitting passing shots as well. It was a mix of various things. Arthur started playing again only four months ago, he had played only a couple of tournaments, he reached the final here after defeating very good players, I am convinced he will again reach the top level."

- Has he ever played better than this? Victory in a final in just 50 minutes...

"Yes, I played incredibly. Every match is different and has its style. I know Arthur is not far from his real level; he has shown it in this tournament and in battles we have had before, although today he made many mistakes. On my part, I just tried to focus on myself. I played very aggressively, hardly made any mistakes. Served well, returned very well. It was a final where I had to give my 100%, so happy to have done it. Very proud. I am going to place this final, in terms of my level, in the top 10 of my matches."

- Defining success moving forward after all he has achieved

"For me, success is much more than lifting trophies. For me, success is how you see yourself and how you feel. I am proud, and I already feel that I have been successful because I learn in every match. Both on and off the court, I am learning from everything, from every experience I have in my life. I am a totally different person, also when playing, from what I was in 2022 when I was number one for the first time and won my first Slam. Seeing myself grow as a person and as a player, seeing myself mature and in a position where I enjoy... for me, that is true success. That's why I am very proud of myself and why I enjoy every step I take as a tennis player. That's how I define success, so far, in my career."

- Is there room for improvements after starting the year with a 12-0 record and two titles?

"Always. Always. There is always room for improvement. I still see myself with weaknesses. I try to get better in training, be better in matches. I set some goals for this tournament and executed them perfectly, content and happy about it. We need to keep improving, keep heading in the right direction; I want to continue that 12-0 streak."

- Happiness on the court and upcoming goals

"I try not to think about anything else but myself when I step onto the court. Right now, I feel that I love playing tennis, that I love competing. I enjoy every time I step on the court. Sometimes we don't stop to think about everything that happens to us. When you are out of competition, and I've been injured, you realize how beautiful all this is. You enjoy the beauty of this sport and the luck you have to step on the court. That's why right now I always have a good time every time I play, that's why you see me happy, even if I lose a point or a match."

Speaking of goals, obviously, my goals are to win the biggest tournaments on the planet, the Masters 1000, the Grand Slams. The next one is Roland Garros, a tournament with incredible memories and experiences; I am very eager to play there again. Before that, there are many special tournaments that I want to prepare for."

- The best part of being a professional tennis player

"It's a mix of many things, I won't lie to you. It's the mix of love for this sport, for what you do; it's also my job, so I get paid to compete, but there is no better feeling than doing what you love. Fame and money come as a result of that, but the most important thing is that I live the life I love."
