This is how the Paris tournament will be, the last Masters 1000 of the year
Analysis of Alcaraz's main rivals in Vienna, the tournament schedule and timings, as well as the prize money.
The ATP Paris is just around the corner. Tomorrow the qualifying round of the last Masters 1000 of the season starts, and from this Monday, November 2, the first round matches will begin. For this reason, it is useful to review the schedule, the prize money, and the main rivals that Carlos Alcaraz will face in an attempt to secure his first Masters 1000 of the season, putting all on the line.
Beyond it being the last major tournament of the year before the ATP Finals in Turin, the main incentive of this event is that many players will compete for their qualification to that Masters Cup that will take place a week later, such as Rafa Jódar and Novak Djokovic. Additionally, it will be Alexander Zverev's first tournament as world number 1, and Carlos Alcaraz will look to close the gap with both the German and Jannik Sinner after losing in his debut last year against Cameron Norrie.
Alcaraz's main rivals at ATP Paris
Considering how each player arrives at the final stretch of the season, Alcaraz's main rival will be Alexander Zverev. With his victory against Tallon Griekspoor yesterday in Vienna, the German player has secured his spot as world number 1 next Monday, meaning that he will be the competitor to beat in every tournament he enters considering the 2026 he is completing.
Moreover, there are other players who are performing at a very high level in this final part of the season, such as Daniil Medvedev. We cannot forget about Alejandro Davidovich, who just won his first Masters 1000 in Shanghai, and the players fighting for their qualification to the ATP Finals: Novak Djokovic, Arthur Fils, Rafa Jódar, Alex de Miñaur, and Frances Tiafoe, among others. The draw will be this afternoon at 19:00h, and here is all the detailed information about the seedings.
When will Alcaraz play his matches in Paris?
Considering that the first round of ATP Paris will be played between Monday, November 2, and Tuesday, November 3, Alcaraz's debut will be on Wednesday or Thursday, as he will skip to the second round being a seeded player. Good news considering that he will play the quarterfinals today in Vienna, allowing him some days to rest and acclimatize.
