Carlos Alcaraz is very clear about his ultimate goals for a 2026 significantly marked by his wrist injury that kept him off the courts for four and a half months. Now he has the opportunity to win three titles that he still does not have in his resume: The Masters 1000 in Paris, the ATP Finals, and the Davis Cup. All of this will be contested over four weeks, and the Murcian is the top favorite in all of them.
In his debut, he will face Alex Michelsen, who came back against Jiri Lehecka in his debut in Paris 6-7(5), 6-2, 6-4. Thus, the Spanish and the American will meet a month after their encounter in the first round of the ATP 500 in Tokyo, where Alcaraz won 7-6(1), 4-6, 6-1.
