Sinner will return to the courts at the Six Kings Slam.

Jannik Sinner now knows his return date to a tennis court. It will not be at a professional tournament that is part of the ATP circuit, but rather at a high-profile exhibition that has new dates set for the end of this season. Indeed, we are talking about the Six Kings Slam, rescheduled due to the military tension in Saudi Arabia to the last days of December, specifically on 27, 28, and 30 of the last month of the year. There, it seems, is when the still world number one will step back onto a tennis court.

He confirmed it through his Instagram stories, resharing a post from the tournament announcing Jannik's return to the lineup. The Saudi event announced it with great fanfare, recovering one of its key names: the Italian had withdrawn from the competition on its initial date due to a knee injury he is still recovering from, leaving the most lucrative exhibition on the planet without one of its major attractions. With the postponement of the tournament to a new date, everything has changed.

Sinner now has a date to return to the courts and will set new guidelines for his recovery

These current days are somewhat complicated for Jannik. The Italian has taken refuge in Monte Carlo, where he has received a visit from Darren Cahill to evaluate the next steps in a recovery that is taking longer than expected: he has also changed clinics and consultations in search of a solution, although this step will provide clarity in his horizon.

Now, the one from San Candido has a goal to aim for, and Saudi Arabia will, in principle, be his only stop before Australia. Jannik usually does not compete in any tournaments before the first Grand Slam of the year, and after playing an exhibition alongside Carlos Alcaraz in South Korea this season, it seems the Saudi event will serve as preparation and a test, also physically, before traveling to Melbourne. A return, by the way, that entails the absence of Learner Tien, who had been confirmed as his replacement on the prior dates. Thus, at the end of December, we will see the Italian in action again, two months of waiting to welcome one of the best in the world back into the ring.
