Munar awaits her most anticipated rematch.

The ATP Brussels 2026 tournament could be the perfect opportunity for Jaume Munar to get closer to his first ATP title. It is one of the major goals for the Mallorcan, who returned to his 2025 form at times during the Asian tour, especially at a tournament in Tokyo where he managed to lead against Carlos Alcaraz in the semifinals. Now immersed in an indoor hard court tour where he has improved his performance, the Balearic player defeated Federico Cinà with considerable authority in his debut at the Belgian event, conceding only one break point and delivering a collection of passing shots and defensive strokes that ultimately disarmed the young Italian (6-4, 6-3).

Thus, Jaume starts with a win on a surface he has already become familiar with and where he promises great results. This victory also has a special flavor, as it will set him up against one of the players with whom he perhaps has the worst memory on the circuit. His next opponent will be Arthur Fils, one of the main title contenders and someone with whom he shares a very special memory and history.

The most anticipated rematch for Jaume Munar

The Balearic player was involved in one of the most heartbreaking and exciting matches of last tennis season, a match at Roland Garros, where he confessed to having learned a lot, placing it as one of the two matches that have marked a turning point in his career. On that day, Arthur was able to come through a duel in which he played practically the entire fifth set with a numb leg, with Jaume unable to finish him off despite his severe physical issues.

Now Munar will have the opportunity to take revenge for that duel in a battle he will approach with enthusiasm. The Frenchman is not coming in on a high, as he surprisingly lost in Shanghai to Botic van de Zandschulp and has yet to find the desired consistency week after week. Will this be Jaume's big moment?
