Muchova's outburst of sincerity after reaching the Wimbledon final

Karolina Muchova lived one of the most special moments of her career this Thursday. The Czech defeated Coco Gauff to qualify for the Wimbledon final for the first time, her second Grand Slam final after Roland Garros 2023. Still with emotions running high, the world number nine admitted on Center Court that she still found it hard to believe what she had just achieved.

"First of all, it sounds really good to say that I'm in the final. It was a huge battle. A real rollercoaster. You're constantly up and down. In ten seconds, you can have a match point in your favor and suddenly have it against you. There's no time to think. It's a very stressful situation. I don't know... I don't even know what I'm saying. I'm trembling and trying to process all of this. The atmosphere has been indescribable. Thanks to everyone who came to support us," she confessed right after the match.

During the match, there were also moments of concern when Muchova touched her side several times. However, the Czech quickly reassured all the fans. "I'm fine. I was just trying to catch my breath. I'm fine. Yeah, really, I'm fine," she replied with laughter.

It was the first time that Muchova played a match on Wimbledon's Center Court, a place she had dreamed of since she was a child and had visited just a few days earlier with her team to take a photo.

"There are so many tennis players, and I don't think many have the opportunity to play on this court. It has an incredible history for our sport. It's something very special. We came here to warm up before the semifinals and took a picture. It's beautiful to experience all of this. This court is really wonderful," she affirmed.

Now, Muchova will have the chance to fulfill her dream. The Czech will seek to win the first Grand Slam of her career this Saturday when she competes in the Wimbledon final against the winner of the match between Marta Kostyuk and Linda Noskova.
