Novak Djokovic really struggled to start with a win in Roland Garros 2026 against Giovanni Mpetshi-Perricard. But his first success in this Parisian edition has left several facts. For instance, he had not lost the opening set at Roland Garros since defeating Dennis Gremelmayr in four sets in 2008. Additionally, he is now 39-1 against opponents who are Grand Slam hosts, with his only defeat against Andy Murray in the Wimbledon final in 2013.
