A former top 10 player gives the key for Gauff to triumph on clay courts

Marion Bartoli, former world number seven, has highlighted Coco Gauff's good play at the 2026 Miami Open, where she lost in the final to Aryna Sabalenka. Additionally, Bartoli has delved into an aspect of Gauff's game that could be key to achieving good results on the clay court circuit. "She showed incredible mentality and determination, which is why she has already won two Grand Slams. I loved that she used her slice serve a lot; it should be a technique she also employs on clay courts. As the reigning champion of Roland Garros, the way she managed to maintain her serve and her forehand [on Saturday] was a positive aspect she can take away."
