Alcaraz already knows who his opponent would be in the third round of Indian Wells
Carlos Alcaraz knew that in his path towards the title at Indian Wells 2026, the name of an old acquaintance, Arthur Rinderknech, was on the list. However, what he could not imagine is that the Frenchman would not need to take to the court to reach that third round where they could face off. Juan Manuel Cerúndolo, Rinderknech's opponent in the second round, withdrew from the tournament due to physical issues, leading to Rinderknech's advancement, whom Alcaraz defeated a few weeks ago in Doha.
Rinderknech will not have to play today, as Juan Manuel Cerundolo gives the walkover.
