Svitolina shows the messages she received after the defeat: "I hope you die tonight"

The latest one came after the match between Naomi Osaka and Elina Svitolina in the WTA Montreal 2025, a match that the Japanese player won in two sets (6-2 6-2). The Ukrainian player shared some of the messages she received after the loss: "I hope you die tonight" or "may Russia violate Ukrainian children" were just some of the gems she received.
Svitolina could only share the messages and leave a few brief words for all of them: "To all these bettors: I am a mother before an athlete, and the way you speak to a woman and a mother is shameful. Your mothers would be disappointed if they saw your messages."
