Hijikata avoids the Serbian duel and will be Djokovic's first opponent in Miami

Novak Djokovic already knows who his first opponent will be in his return to competition. On the horizon, a possible Balkan derby in the second round of the Miami Open 2025... a mission, however, thwarted by an inspired Rinky Hijikata. Nonetheless, Hamad Medjedovic will have much to regret: he served to win the match at 5-4 in the third set... and completely fell apart, delivering a horrible game (lost it to love) and handing over the match (7-5, 3-6, 7-5). Therefore, there won't be a showdown between student and master: the Australian will be Nole's first test next Saturday.
