The impressive record of precocity beaten by Mensik in Shanghai
Jakub Mensik has reached the quarterfinals of the ATP Masters 1000 Shanghai 2024 at just 19 years old, defeating a top-10 player like Dimitrov. This is not a new sensation for the Czech, who already has over four consecutive victories against players ranked in the world's top ten. Only five other players under 21 years old have achieved this in the 21st century: Hewitt, Nadal, Tsitsipas, Alcaraz, and Rune.
6 - Since 2000, Jakub Mensik has become only the sixth teenager to claim 4+ consecutive ATP top 10 wins after Lleyton Hewitt, Rafael Nadal, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Carlos Alcaraz, and Holger Rune. Form.#RolexShanghaiMasters | @SH_RolexMasters @atptour @ATPMediaInfo pic.twitter.com/poedd3NnCq
