The incredible genius of Alcaraz positioning himself to be one of the points of the year
Carlos Alcaraz did not show his best version for much of his debut in the 2024 Davis Cup against Tomas Machac, but he always leaves a space reserved for the most absolute brilliance, for masterpieces that lift the audience from their seats. Furthermore, the latest of these served to change the course of the match, deepening Machac's physical problems and achieving a break that ultimately proved decisive. But the point in question is, indeed, one to watch over and over again: a defensive display by the player from Murcia, moving both laterally and towards the net, and demonstrating reflexes with an almost impossible volley close to the tape. A total delicacy that is already one of the points of the year.
No way, @carlosalcaraz 😯
