This has been the tribute to Thiem at the US Open

Dominic Thiem brought an end to his Grand Slam journey after falling to Ben Shelton at the US Open, where he was the champion in 2020. Thus, following the match, the tournament organization wanted to pay tribute to him in his last appearance on these courts, presenting him with a frame containing some photos from his time there. The Austrian also wanted to express his gratitude for the support he received: "Thank you very much for your support. Ten years have passed since the first time I played in New York; it is a very important moment for me. Here, I had the greatest success of my career, in that strange 2020 without any of you. It was a bit sad in some ways, but I am very happy to have had the opportunity to finish my Slam career here. Thank you very much for everything," he said emotionally in his speech.
