Alcaraz explains why he likes staying at the Olympic Village and reveals that he will not be at the opening ceremony
Carlos Alcaraz is living a new experience in his life during the lead-up to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and wants to top it off with a medal. This week has been intense for him, becoming one of the main media attractions for the rest of the athletes. Being constantly stopped for photos with him can be annoying, but the young man from Murcia is clear that he wanted to experience this at the Olympic Village.
"I like being surrounded by people, feeling the passion and energy. Staying in a hotel would have been more peaceful, but I will never forget the affection from the athletes, the hugs, and the selfies," he remarked before stating that he will not be present at the Opening Ceremony because he wants to rest to be ready for the two matches he will play on Saturday.

"I want to be around my people, feel the passion and the energy. Yes, staying in a hotel would be more peaceful, but the selfies, memories and hugs from all the mothers I get here are forever."

I was very excited to be able to go to the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics with 🇪🇸 today, but tomorrow I have two matches and it is advisable to rest and be ready! This begins! 💪🏻
