Alcaraz conquers unknown territory in an astonishing statistic
Carlos Alcaraz has achieved glory twice so far this season, but what is most impressive is the way he has done it and how he has been able to set astonishing records. One of them is becoming the only tennis player in history to win against top-5 ATP players on all surfaces in consecutive seasons and multiple occasions. This year, he has a 6-0 record against opponents of this caliber, adding to what he did in 2023.
1 - Since the ATP rankings were introduced in 1973, Carlos Alcaraz (2023-24) is now the first to claim multiple ATP top five wins on grass, clay & hard court in consecutive years. John McEnroe (1984) is the only other player to do so in a single year. Wow. #Wimbledon | @atptour pic.twitter.com/OVw4VpSl2l
