Alcaraz joins the Big 4 in a statistic for tennis history
Carlos Alcaraz is the fifth player of the 21st century to reach the final of both Roland Garros and Wimbledon in the same season. This utopian achievement by the player from Murcia is as simple as that, emulating Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic in a very significant statistic. He will attempt to take another step forward and become champion in both Grand Slam tournaments.
ATP Players that reached the final at both Roland Garros and Wimbledon in the same season this century:
- Rafael Nadal (×5)
- Novak Djokovic (x4)
- Roger Federer (×3)
- Andy Murray (2016)
- Carlos Alcaraz (2023)
