Hubert Hurkacz, winner of the Shanghai Masters 1,000 in 2023, announced that he is still struggling with discomfort from his back injury and will also not participate in the penultimate Masters of the season. Currently ranked 69th in the ATP rankings, the Polish player has barely competed in tournaments in 2025 and has not played since the ATP s'Hertogenbosch in June.
