Rennae Stubbs, coach of Serena Williams, believes that the change made by the Spanish tennis player in his serve could have been the cause of his serious wrist injury.
Carlos Alcaraz
Spain has made a surprising decision by requesting an invitation to the Vienna tournament, which will take place from October 26 to November 1.
Due to the ongoing war conflict in the Middle East and the recent bombings in Riyadh, the competition has been moved to December 27.
Some time ago, Rafa Nadal's uncle and former coach spoke about how little he liked hearing complaints of this nature from his nephew, and he recalled a case that is reminiscent of Alcaraz's yesterday in Shanghai.
The Spanish player has 40 victories in his first year as a professional, something that no other tennis player has ever come close to in all of history.
The Belgian responded to Alcaraz's complaints about the quality of the balls and the bounce in the Shanghai tournament, arguing that they were the same as in Tokyo.
The Spanish tennis player, who had already expressed his discontent during the match against Bergs, criticized this aspect again in the press conference after his defeat.
Today Alcaraz was unrecognizable in an area where he usually shines. Bergs managed to push Carlos out of his comfort zone.
