Let no one wake up Marina Bassols from this dream. The Catalan, returning to a Grand Slam main draw almost two years later, secures her first victory in a 'Major' after a convincing win over Emiliana Arango by 6-3, 6-4 in the first round of Roland Garros 2026, setting up a match with Mirra Andreeva in the second round. The Catalan continues her good streak, following her semifinals at the WTA 125K La Bisbal and her finals in Portoroz and the WTA 125 Madrid.
