Zverev pulls rank to reduce Cobolli

Although at times it seemed that Flavio Cobolli could push for a third set tonight against Alexander Zverev, reality taught us that the German arrived at these Mutua Madrid Open quarterfinals with a well-learned lesson. First, jumping onto the court supercharged, closing the first set in the blink of an eye. And secondly, gritting his teeth in the second set to seal his spot in the semifinals (6-1, 6-4) and remind us why this tournament suits him so well. Another victory for the German, who will now have to face off against the revelation of the draw: Alexander Blockx.
