Former number one requests Venus Williams not to receive any more wildcards

Venus Williams is not getting the desired results in the major tournaments where she has received a wildcard in recent months. In fact, she has not won an individual match since July 2025. For this reason, a former number one like Yevgeny Kafelnikov has called for her to stop receiving invitations to make way for new talents. "I have incredible respect for Venus Williams' achievements, but it's time now. The main draw invitation would be helpful for many girls," he stated in 'Hard Court'.
