The statistic that puts Swiatek above Serena Williams

Iga Swiatek is one of the top favorites to win the WTA 1000 in Doha. However, today she had to struggle against Daria Kasatkina to reach the quarterfinals, taking the match to a third set. With this victory, the Polish tennis player has surpassed Serena Williams in an incredible statistic, as out of 42 WTA 1000 events she has competed in, she has reached the quarterfinals 26 times (61.9%), surpassing Serena's record of 61.2%.
