Timea Babos, one of the best doubles players in the world and a finalist of the 2025 WTA Finals, has announced on social media that the 2026 Australian Open could be her last tournament before taking a break from tennis for a year and a half or two, with the goal of becoming a mother. The 32-year-old Hungarian consistently emphasized that this decision does not mark the end of her sports career, but rather a temporary hiatus.
