Medvedev reacts in time to avoid another setback

The start of Daniil Medvedev in this Masters 1000 in Montecarlo 2025 is anything but reliable. After saving his debut against Khachanov winning 6-4 in the third set, today he also had to fight against Alexandre Muller to secure his place in the round of 16. Once again, a hard-fought victory (7-6, 5-7, 6-2) to build confidence on a surface that always demands a little extra from him, even when he's not always willing. We'll see how things go for him now against De Miñaur, who also had to handle a third set against Machac (3-6, 6-0, 6-3) on this same day.

Other day's results

• [15] G Dimitrov d. (WC) V Vacherot: 46 63 61
• A Popyrin d. [14] F Tiafoe: 36 63 63
