It will be a difficult challenge for me to go far in this tournament, but at the same time, I will try to enjoy everything I can”.

“The Laver Cup has been a great experience, I was very happy that Team Europe brought the cup back to the continent again. Team World dominated the Laver Cup in the last two years, so I am very happy to have won good points for Europe, to help the team. It was a great experience to have the players supporting and coaching me in my matches, it was great. Furthermore, the most exciting part was having the opportunity to get to know them as people off the court. We are used to seeing each other only at the club, in player mode. We also have a very good relationship outside, so it was a pleasant experience, there was a great atmosphere during the time we spent there”.

- A long journey to the other side of the world

“My journey from Berlin was quite tough. I flew from Berlin to Frankfurt, then to Dubai, and finally to Beijing. I slept for most of the three flights. From Berlin to Frankfurt was quite easy, as it was only an hour. I slept that hour. After Frankfurt to Dubai, it was about six hours and I slept the entire trip as well. Finally, from Dubai to Beijing it was another 7 or 8 hours and I spent them all sleeping. So it was a tough journey, but at the same time, easy”.
