Sinner secures number one spot no matter what happens at the US Open

A very valuable victory for Jannik Sinner against Alexander Zverev in the semifinals of ATP Cincinnati 2024. With Novak Djokovic's absence from the tournament, the early defeat of Carlos Alcaraz, and the Italian's presence in the final, Jannik secures his number one spot in the ATP Ranking regardless of the outcome of the US Open 2024. Sinner could significantly widen the gap with the Serbian and the Spaniard by winning both tournaments, although he already knows he has the top position secured.

It's official now

Jannik Sinner is sure of staying at #1 whatever happens over the next three weeks
