Nuno Borges will close his participation in Bastad without having faced a player from the top-120 in the world

Nuno Borges is just one victory away from winning his first ATP title, and he would do it in a very special way. The path of the 27-year-old Portuguese in the ATP 250 Bastad 2024 is quite unusual as the highest-ranked player he has had to face is his compatriot Henrique Rocha, currently ranked 121st in the world. The challenge against Rafael Nadal is significant, but up to this point, his journey has been quite smooth.

Nuno Borges' path to the Bastad final:

World No. 153 Andrea Pellegrino
World No. 182 Henrique Rocha
World No. 253 Timofey Skatova
World No. 121 Thiago Agustin Tirante

I don't think I've seen anything quite like this.
